You may not realize it, but even cows enjoy a quiet day casting a line or two, patiently waiting on that one perfect catch as the breeze billows past your ears and the sun is just behind those big oaks to the west.
The best part is coming home to tell the tale of the one that got away! You know the one…. when you first see it yank on your line and try to pop it up but somehow the slippery little guy manages to outsmart your hook. You know it’s probably only six inches being generous, but by the time you’ve told the story a few times, why, that guppie is suddenly ‘thissss bigggg!!!!’….. (measured by your hands like a Subway footlong commercial, of course.)
Take some time out to relax and do some fun things over the summer. Feel the heat on the back of your neck. Swat one too many mosquitos. Grill the perfect hot dog with the stick you widdled after gathering logs for the campfire. And after a relaxing weekend with the reflections of the reeds holding tight at the edge of the bank and the water spiders bouncing spiratically across the long lines the sun has cast, you’ll be ready to come home and do something else that makes you feel good. Get rid of some stuff and get paid for it!
