Labor Day & the WEBN Fireworks

September 2, 2009

Ribbet!  It’s that time of year again folks, and whether you’re from this area of the country or not, this is THE place to be for the Labor Day weekend, especially Sunday night along either side of the Ohio River. 58

A little over 307 years ago, a  local radio station held a fireworks event to celebrate their 10 years of broadcast, and that event has changed the face of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky ever since. What started as a simple fan based celebration is now a celebration between cities and states with attendees during 2008’s show totalling over 400,000! With a half hour of the most spectacular fireworks spectacle known, possibly across the country, ending 3a weekend of live entertainment, private food vendors, crafter’s (though not so much of these), and various other venues, this is one of the most outrageous ways to say ‘so long’ to summer and very likely the best party of the year.

Cowvin attended last year and has a vast barrage of photos with friends to share with you, however there simply isn’t room here for all of them. Check out Cowvin’s pictures from the 2008 fireworks show on Facebook. Just become a friend of Garage Sale Cow. You never know, maybe your picture is there too?
